a writing machine generating text from a mixture of the visual response to the relationship between the transcription of speech into sign language and the hand gestures which accompany the speech, as used by the speaker; in this case, the text that is heard has also been composed through aural response to the text itself. The speech is syncopated with the hand gestures.
